BIO

Kylie Fox has become a force in the folk Canadiana scene of Canada’s East coast. Her melodies are a welcome curse, and her voice is raw and emotive, powered by her extensive training in classical singing. She combines sentimentality with sarcasm, wit, and empathy, making her songwriting unmistakably genuine.

Kylie has been charming audiences across the country with her stories and her warmth, touring from coast to coast since the release of her first project, BalconyEP, in 2017. Her vocals evoke Joni Mitchell, her whimsy Alanis, her wit, John Prine. She has been charting on campus radio stations nationwide, charting on the Earshot Twenty Folk and Roots charts while also receiving play on  CBC radio.

This summer, Kylie teamed up with award-winning producer Dale Murray of Farmhouse Studios to help record her debut, full-length album Green. She plans to release the album, which will feature her single ‘This Beer’ (engineered by John Mclaggen), in the Spring of 2020.

Kylie's ability to connect with an audience is remarkable. Her laid back approach to sharing songs and stories on stage leaves everyone in the room feeling like they've made a new friend.”
