Alt-folk Canadiana artist Kylie Fox writes music with unmistakable genuineness and endearing charm; traits that have earned Fox an attentive audience coast to coast, and features on CBC, charting on earshot!, festival stage spots, and more.. Her latest album release Green is a fitting example of her sentimental soft-spot effortlessly intertwining with quick wit, signature sarcasm, and inherent empathy.
Originally from Saint John, New Brunswick, the oldest and foggiest city on Canada’s East Coast, she grew up in a kitchen party family, learning the guitar from her Joni Mitchell-loving dad, and encouraged to sing from her mother who made up songs for every occasion and continues to sing to her to this day. She was raised on local theatre company stages and pursues acting, classical singing, and visual arts in different facets of her career.
Since the release of her first project, BalconyEP, in 2017, Kylie has toured Canada extensively, participated in songwriting residencies at the Banff Centre for the Arts, spoken as a panelist at various business and arts conferences, and documents her experiences through her blog The DIY Road Diaries.
